Kamo Club’s Golf Section has around 50 active members. If you are a Kamo Club member with an official golf handicap, you are most welcome to come along and join in the fun. We play 6 Championship rounds annually, typically from March to September at different courses around our region. From these events, we send teams to the Clubs NZ North Island men’s and women’s champs (3 players for each) and a men’s Northern Region event (6 players). Qualifying for these teams is by way of your best 4 Net scores over our 6 Championship rounds.
Annually we also hold a Drawn Pairs event which is always great fun, a Xmas Cheer/Closing Day with a champagne breakfast and ambrose format, plus an overnight trip away during which we play two golf courses over the weekend. We are a social crew who enjoy our golf, with a lot of laughs while enjoying a drink or two together at the 19th hole, as we take to the fairways across the year.
The annual sub to join the Golf Section is just $10, with green fees and entries to events, along with the away trip often subsidized by the Section.
